Hire Dispatcher Job Description:

Route trucks efficiently to balance workload and control shipping costs. Finalize and transmit all shipping documentation, including RMAs and D&As, to appropriate systems. Monitor dispatch prep to ensure all units are scanned, loaded, and reconciled daily. Manage communications including voicemails, emails, and same-day changes with internal and external stakeholders. Perform ship confirmations, publish and print route documents, and maintain accurate delivery records. Coordinate overflow routes and special delivery requirements (e.g., two-person teams, 3PL carriers). Forecast and maintain truck fleet resources using the resource calendar. Support administrative tasks and provide backup for Scheduling and Administrative roles as needed. Ensure accurate metrics reporting, update issue logs, and manage return processes for canceled orders. Other duties as assigned to support operational efficiency.

Dispatcher Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent education Previous proven experience as a dispatcher/relevant position preferred. Minimum of 1 year customer service experience Ability to use advanced software tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel) Customer First oriented Strong customer service and communication skills Problem solving skills. Ability to multitask. Ability to work in a team environment. Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise level. Work assignments are diversified. Interpret, comprehend, and apply complex material, data, and instruction – prepare, provide, and convey diversified information. Minimal physical effort required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, or carrying objects that typically with less than 10 lbs. (e.g., papers, books, files, and small parts, etc.).
