Job Description
Dispatcher Wingard Towing Service 1809 Augusta Rd, West Columbia, SC 29169 We are a family run third generation family business who has been serving the Midlands and beyond for over 50 years. We have a long-standing reputation of quality and reliability and are looking to add to an already outstanding team of employees who lead with integrity. This is a part time dispatch position requiring constant verbal communication with drivers out in the field, customers who may or may not be with their vehicles, various vendors and police agencies. No two days are the same! The shifts we need covered are as follows: Friday 7:30am-12:30pm (5 hours) Saturday 10am-3pm (5 hours) Sunday 12pm – 4pm (4 hours) And, filling in any time our full time dispatchers are out, so additional hours are available but not guaranteed. Desired skills : mutli-tasking without losing attention to detail, mapping skills, staying calm while under pressure, accuracy in the fine details, efficient with job tasks, ability to prioritize tasks but yet be flexible when priorities change, and overall ownership of the job. We have a specialized towing dispatch software, so a general knowledge of computer software and ability to learn a new program is essential to the job.
