Dispatcher Orange Grove Center Inc – 1.0 Chattanooga, TN Job Details Full-time $15 – $18 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Customer service CDL Dispatching Computer skills Entry level Full Job Description Job Description This is a full-time position responsible for the customer service and dispatching needs of Orange Grove Center’s Transportation Department. This person will work to establish rapport with all staff and families associated with transportation services. He or she will work in unison with the other Orange Grove employees to ensure appropriate staff and family notifications occur timely. He or she will assist the Transportation Department with spreadsheets, forms, and clerical activities as needed. He or she will monitor time keeping, GPS systems, phone calls, emails, text messages, road/weather reports, pre/post trip reports, push to talk communication and training records continually to ensure compliance and efficiencies. He or she must ensure accurate procedures are implemented for service delivery, billing, and compliance regulations. He or she will prepare reports and present outcome data as requested. It is expected that this position will work as a substitute driver whenever the need arises. A flexible schedule will be necessary to attend trainings, meetings and all other duties as needed to ensure the successful delivery of all transportation services. Responsibilities of this position will continue to change and may require other duties as assigned. Hours worked must not exceed 40 a week, unless an emergency occurs and written approval is given by the Transportation Coordinator and Division Director. Any Dispatcher working more than 40 hours a week, without prior written authorization from the Coordinator and Director, will be subject to progressive disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Foremost this position must demonstrate a positive attitude in all situations and must up hold the mission, policies and procedures of Orange Grove Center. Report to the Assistant Coordinator of Transportation, who reports to the Coordinator of Transportation. This position has no official supervising duties, but will consult with the Assistant Coordinator, Coordinator, and other Administrators as necessary to address personnel issues Job Qualifications Customer Service experience required. Dispatcher experience preferred. Fluent computer skills required. Must have or be able to obtain commercial driver’s license with P & S endorsements. Must be able to work in a fast-paced stressful environment. Must be able to multitask and prioritize. Must ensure timely, follow up communication occurs with all appropriate drivers, employees, family members, and any other stakeholders as required. Must ensure communication is friendly and displays a professional, helpful demeanor. Must demonstrate compliance with all Orange Grove Center, State and Federal policies and guidelines. Must be able to accomplish agency and departmental goals, assist with staff training and mentoring, and work in a cooperative team environment. Must possess initiative and be able to work on projects independently. Good overall physical health and personal stamina. Physical examination, including TB skin test or chest x-ray is required prior to employment. Must be able to perform all physical duties including bending, stooping and manual manipulation of restraint straps, and all other job-related equipment
