The Dispatcher will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient communication and coordination between drivers, customers, and management. This position requires strong multitasking abilities and a commitment to providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule transportation routes for drivers to ensure timely deliveries. Communicate effectively with drivers regarding their assignments, providing clear instructions and support as needed. Monitor the status of shipments and proactively address any issues that may arise during transit. Utilize transportation management systems, including Oracle Transportation Management and AS400, to track shipments and manage fleet operations. Maintain accurate records of shipments, including shipping and receiving documentation. Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize logistics processes and improve overall efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the transportation process. Skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong phone etiquette. Proficiency in fleet management practices and transportation management systems. Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes within the logistics industry. Ability to type efficiently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices is preferred.
