Position Overview
The Novelis Bay Minette, AL team is looking for an EMS Security Coordinator. This role is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe working environment across the manufacturing facility. This position will report to the EHS Manager of the Bay Minette facility.
Responsibilities:

Champion all emergency response team training for multidisciplinary team (HAZMAT, Emergency Medical, Confined Space
- High Angle Rescue, Incident Command, and Fire Brigade)
Manage the continuous improvement, implementation, and sustainability of emergency response programs.
Coordinate the inspection, testing, and maintenance of emergency response equipment as well as fire protection systems and equipment.
Participate in incident investigations and prepare and deliver safety training as needed
Maintain and ensure compliance with Novelis Risk Compliance Standards, OSHA, NFPA, and other safety regulations.
Assist project teams in planning safety and emergency response into upcoming projects and activities.
Support the process safety and chemical process safety programs from an Emergency Response perspective.
Manage a fleet of fire and emergency response vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are maintained, cleaned, up to date.
Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate drills and table-top exercises to ensure Novelis Plant Emergency Management Preparedness.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Fire Science Technology or five (5) or more years of experience in an Industrial Fire and Emergency Response leadership role
5-10 years work experience in emergency management, disaster planning, or industrial Fire Fighting
Strong knowledge of emergency management practices, including preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation strategies.
Proven experience in emergency management, including developing and delivering site-specific training.
Experience managing multi-discipline emergency response teams (HAZMAT, Industrial Fire, Emergency Medical, Confined Space
- High Angle Rescue, and Incident Command)
Knowledge of NFPA requirements for Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of fire protection systems and equipment.

Novelis’ newly announced Bay Minette facility will be located 35 miles northeast of Mobile AL and 45 miles west of Pensacola FL and is expected to create approximately 1000 high-paying advanced careers in modern manufacturing.
This highly advanced rolling and recycling facility will be the first of its kind. It will primarily serve our customers in the beverage can and automotive markets.
