Full Job Description SUMMARY :

The responsibility of the Director of Emergency Transition Home

  • Foundations (ETH) will function as a primary support for the overall administration of the FOUNDATIONS, Emergency Transitional Housing Program.

The position requires strong organizational skills, proficient problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, an ability to lead team efforts, and the capacity to work with developmentally disabled adults in a structured setting.

REQUIREMENTS

: Bachelors, preferred. High School Diploma or GED required. Prior experience in similar position preferred. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must have the ability to work in high stress/ high volume environment, while maintaining open communication with other components of treatment and operations. Medication Certification through DDS, First Aid, CPR, PMT certifications and approval through transportation vendor must be acquired within six months of hire date and maintained throughout employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

: Provide oversight of daily program operations for an emergency transitional housing program servicing individuals with intellectual disabilities. Must be able to exercise efficient problem-solving and decision-making skills. An ability to calmly respond to crisis and emergency situations. Manage and maintain an account of all on-site and mandated staff training. Effectively communicate with internal and external providers (including but not limited to; parents/guardians, DDS case management, residential and day program providers, nursing staff and other service providers). Advocate in the best interest of the individuals being served. Participate in the staff interview and hiring process. Maintain tracking of all DDS referrals submitted to

FOUNDATIONS.

Oversee the screening and intake process for prospective individuals. Facilitates transition meetings, with

team and DDS case managers. Conducts staff meetings and supervision. Knowledge of Therapy, preferred. Complete staff schedule and delegate transportation assignments daily. Track and document fiscal expenditures. Responsible for the timely submission of timesheets to payroll. Other duties as assigned.

SCHEDULE

Full time: Monday

  • Friday (12:00 pm to 8:00 pm)
