Job Summary The Commander plays a pivotal role in overseeing operations, ensuring safety, and maintaining order within the designated area of responsibility. This position requires strong leadership skills, scheduling knowledge, and the ability to manage conflicts effectively. The ideal candidate will possess an NREMT and be extensively familiar with EMS Operations. Responsibilities Lead and supervise personnel to ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures. Schedule shifts at least 6 weeks in advance. Manage conflict situations with professionalism, employing conflict management techniques to resolve issues effectively. Ensure EMS protocols are being adhered to. Collaborate with government customers when necessary to address any issue or provide services. Train team members and ensure team members’ certifications remain current. Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and operational activities for reporting purposes. Qualifications 1 – 2 years of proven experience in a leadership role is preferred. NERMT Certification. Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams while fostering a positive work environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information and directives. Must be physically fit to perform duties that may require standing for extended periods or responding quickly in emergencies.

$80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year Expected hours: 40 per week
