Hazmat Field Supervisor – Hazmat Operations (HOT ZONE)

Location:

Kannapolis/ Surrounding Area | Flexible & On-Call Availability. This is not an opportunity with set hours. You should already have a main source of income. This is extra side money. You tell me when you are available. If a call comes in, I reach out to see if you’re available. Hazmat Heroes is looking for a reliable, hands-on Hazmat Field Supervisor to join our field team. You will be supervising technicians who are handling hazardous materials directly — and you’ll play a crucial front line role helping us keep operations running smoothly and safely.

What You’ll Do:

Leads the overall command and coordination of field operations for major hazardous material incidents. Directs resource deployment, entry team rotations, and all site activity under

ICS/NIMS

guidelines. Interfaces directly with Incident Command, regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA), and emergency management. Develops and implements the Site Safety & Health Plan (SSHP) and Emergency Response Plan (ERP). Ensures legal and regulatory compliance during incident response and post-incident documentation. Approves PPE levels, site zoning, and atmospheric monitoring protocols. Manages high-level communications including incident reports, situation status updates (SITREPs), and press briefings. Oversees contractor and mutual-aid integration, ensuring interoperability and accountability. Coordinates demobilization planning, personnel rehab, and equipment decontamination post-response. Evaluates team performance, provides formal training feedback, and maintains operational readiness standards.

What We’re Looking For:

HAZWOPPER 40 CERTIFICATION

Previous Experience as a Hazmat Technician Previous Hazmat supervisor experience Great communication and attention to detail Comfortable operating in confined spaces Must be 18+ with reliable transportation
