Manager Emergency Preparedness and ManagementRutland-VT-05701-United States The Manager of Emergency Managementand Preparedness is accountable for the organization’s overallplanning, organization, direction, coordination and evaluation ofemergency preparedness activities and readiness. Responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to: financial management, qualityimprovement, staff education /development, program development, andcommunication. The incumbent will ensure that RRMC maintains astate of preparedness for all emergencies, both physical andcyber-related, that would impact operations and the organization’sability for RRMC to meet organizational goals and responsibilitieseffectively and efficiently to the communities and populationsserved. This individual is responsible for ensuring RRMC compliancewith all emergency preparedness regulatory requirements outlined bystate and federal agencies and to serve as the organization’sprimary liaison with all organizations and agencies regardingactual emergency events, emergency preparedness planning andexercises. Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s Degree inDisaster/Emergency Management, Public Safety/Disaster Operations,Cyber Security, Public Administration, or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience. Minimum Work Experience
• 5 years’experience in large organization emergency preparedness includingthree years in a leadership role with a proven record of emergencypreparedness planning, exercise planning/execution and grantsupport.
• 3 years’ of experience working in a CyberSecurity-related role within a non-profit organization.
• Experience in HAZMAT Decontamination and Emergency Response Teammanagement/coordination.
• Hospital emergency preparednessexperience preferred. Required Licenses/Certifications
• Certification in disaster, hazardous materials decontamination or

ICS/HICS

training preferred.

• Valid Driver’s License. RequiredSkills, Knowledge, and Abilities
• Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills.
• Able to develop and deliver trainingmaterials for employees of all levels as well as the community.
• Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Strongorganizational skills and the ability to coordinate manysimultaneous activities.
• Professional presentation skills.
• Proficient Microsoft desktop application skills.
• Knowledge of theplanning, education and exercise requirements associated with thephases of emergency management. Salary Range $60,300.00
• $96,250.
