Facility/Transpiration Manager 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Birmingham, AL 35210 Job Summary The Facilities/Transportation Manager will plan and oversee the organization’s daily operations to ensure goals and objectives are achieved. This position will oversee facilities maintenance, execute plans, and ensure compliance with all regulatory measures. Responsibilities Supervises the maintenance staff Determines labor needs to meet production goals. Determines the need for outsourcing versus in-house support for facility repair and upkeep Assists with the determination of additional facility needs and the acquisition of new facilities Plans and organizes daily activities related to production and operations. Ensures contractual and project outcomes are achieved or exceeded. Manages and provides consumer services. Prepares and/or reviews proposals, agreements, budgets, revisions, reports, surveys, purchase documents, correspondence, and other project requirements; ensures requirements are identified on the Requirements Log; ensures deadlines are met. Develops and maintains project policies and procedures; ensures tracking systems meet project needs. Investigate complaints and process appeals; document outcomes; detect, prevent, and deter fraud. Ensures project and organizational information systems are current and accurate; trains staff on how to use them. Analyzes and recommends vendors; ensures vendors’ contracts are negotiated and executed in a timely manner. Ensures and documents vendor contract compliance. Creates, tests, and maintains project internal controls. Responsible for project collaboration and coordination. Responsible for reporting risk management, recommending solutions, and mitigating risk. Attend training and meetings; travel required Performs other related duties as required. Knowledge/Skills/Experiences and other Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Industrial Technology, Information Systems or related field required. And a minimum of three (3) years of experience in developing logistical systems and processes. Experience in the non-profit setting in preferred but not required. Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time throughout the day. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to bend and stoop. Must be able to walk for extended periods throughout the day. Mental and visual concentration are required for preparing and analyzing data using a computer. Excellent managerial and supervisory skills. Extensive knowledge of operations and production management. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
