Responsibilities:
Oversee the maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for repairs and renovations Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs Coordinate with upper management to create and manage budgets for facility maintenance and repairs Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and workplace safety standards Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address hazards Respond to facility-related emergencies and resolve issues promptly Manage the procurement of necessary supplies and equipment Oversee the management of hazardous materials and waste disposal to ensure compliance with regulations Maintain documentation and reporting for safety compliance and inspections Ensure managers monitor and enforce personal protective equipment (PPE) usage and other safety protocols Stay updated on safety laws and regulations, ensuring that all practices align with current standards Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience:
Proven experience in facility management, industrial maintenance, or a similar role required; experience with a focus on safety preferred
Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of facility management principles, safety regulations, and building codes
Safety Knowledge:
Basic Understanding of workplace safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and OSHA regulations
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints, experience in high and low voltage systems, HVAC systems, and mechanical
Excellent Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Organizational Skills:
Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure timely completion of all maintenance and safety activities
Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively
Compliance:
Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, hazardous material management, and emergency preparedness
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Valid Driver’s License:
Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Physical Qualifications:
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
