Job Overview:
The House Manager Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing and supporting the House Managers and the overall operations of the residential facilities at the Eighth Street Community . This position is responsible for staff management, scheduling and facility maintenance, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed while maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive environment for the residents.
Job Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
Communicate program expectations to House Managers and plan, monitor, and evaluate resident contributions. Prepare House Manager schedules and approve time records using the current software in coordination with the Operations Director. Conduct House Manager orientation and training to ensure consistent policies and procedures. Prepare performance evaluations for all House Managers and administer disciplinary actions when necessary. Conduct inspections to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of facilities. Work closely with staff, residents, and volunteers to maintain a clean and safe environment .
Facilities Management:
Ensure all homes and properties meet safety standards and are well-maintained. Ensure that vehicle maintenance is performed in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner in accordance with established policies. Gas up vehicles weekly. Maintain the grounds of all properties, ensuring proper lawn care and dumpster maintenance. Supervise the Chef & Resource Manager in inventory control, food and menu planning, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. Support the Operations Director in volunteer activities related to home care , and resident activities . Oversees maintenance needs and coordinates vendor and volunteers alongside the Operations Director and/or Executive Director on these needs. Assist with on-site fundraising events , ensuring the safety of the home and readiness of necessary equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Experience with Google Calendars , Excel , and Microsoft Office . Experience with scheduling platforms is preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to effectively supervise staff and coordinate activities to meet program goals. Ability to perform inspections and ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met. Ability to be on-call or cover open shifts as needed.
Additional Requirements:
Driver’s License (Required) Ability to pass a drug screening . Comfortable with a background check .
