Marketing Full Job Description Overview:

The Director of Marketing strategizes to promote a positive representation of the community and to achieve maximum occupancy of the facility, in accordance with established policies and procedures, and as directed by the Administrator, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to all residents at all times.

Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain effective marketing anf public relations programs; work with hospital social services when patients are discharged and need placement; plan outreach programs;establish and maintain a record of contacts and communicate with them on a regular basis; design and supply brochures to locations within the community; meet with prospective residents; obtain required information and paperwork to provide to the DON and Administrator; admit and transfer residents in accordance with established nursing policies and procedures.

May entail readmitting residents from the hospital; notify and work with nursing services when a resident moves in a facility; develop and maintain move in procedures for new residents; organize monthly “friendship hour” to welcome new residents; plan annual activities, includimg open house and special comminity awareness programs

Qualifications:

Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field of study from an accredited college or university or a minimum of five years experience in marketing. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must speak and Understand English. Previous work experience in a Health care or Assisted Living facility. Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and positive attitude towards the elderly. Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
