The MCC Facilities Manager oversees the maintenance, MCC security and mailroom or receiving staff, facilities budget, the building, grounds and equipment (HVAC, plumbing, etc..), and provides oversight for all contracted service personnel at Montgomery Cancer Center. Facilities Manager ensures preventative maintenance and repairs to Center buildings and equipment are done properly and in a timely manner. This individual is responsible for safety drills, codes and necessary staff training, serves on the MCC Safety Committee and ensures compliance with Joint Commission environment of care requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Requires a minimum of (5) five years experience in commercial building maintenance, electrical, mechanical or carpentry field. Electrical and or plumbing license or certification preferred. Must have a valid Alabama driver?s license and be insurable for driving a company vehicle.
Knowledge, skills, and ability regarding methods and techniques used in carpentry, electrical, mechanical and building maintenance, and knowledge of electrical and building codes. Prefer experience in a medical or hospital setting with knowledge base of environment of care safety protocols used in a medical setting. Good interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with coworkers and the public in a courteous, cooperative and professional manner.
Valid Alabama driver’s license is required.
