Job Description

The IPM Manager creates, schedules, and oversees daily tasks for the IPM department using Integrated Pest Management strategies and practices. This role plans and oversees facility development projects pertaining to pest management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Defines & document departmental procedures & strategies. Creates & oversee equipment maintenance & cleaning schedules. Performs on call duties as assigned by Director. Monitors department’s stock and equipment and place orders for pesticides, tools, and other items as needed in adherence to the department’s budget. Provides guidance to IPM workers on the application & monitoring strategies being deployed throughout the facility. Tracks weekly pesticide costs and usage based on applications and rates. Monitors facility pest pressure and coordinates with Cultivation Manager to address plant health/infestation issues. Leads and reports pre-harvest inspections and grading prior to all harvests. Assesses IPM worker’s performance and provide training, education, coaching & disciplinary action as needed. Coordinates with other Cultivation Managers to ensure all cultivation departments’ work is performed harmoniously. Plans & oversee facility development projects as needed. Utilizes the integrated environmental control/monitoring software for pesticide applications. Creates & manage documents, logs & files for the department. Manages employee’s attendance, performance, and adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures. Conducts employee reviews. Provides coaching, support and corrective action as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge. State/Federal background checks required. Capable of working with little to no supervision Understands compliance regulations and adheres to SOPs for specialized areas. Ability to handle multiple projects & tasks simultaneously. Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Strong ethics and reliability Ability to stay focused. Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Must be a team player with a “can do” attitude. Available to work weekends and holidays as needed. Reliable transportation Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Two to four years of cultivation experience Prior leadership experience preferred. Working knowledge of fertigation and IPM department processes and procedures Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty pounds. The ability to respond quickly to sounds. The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces. The ability to safely work on ladders and elevated platforms. The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations. The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day (ex. full face respirator) The ability to annually pass a fit test for a full-face respirator. The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time. The ability to work in bright/hot/humid conditions. The ability to work in low light situations. Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, push/pull, repetitive use of hands, grasping use of hands, visual activity Exposure to limited hazardous chemicals
