This will include The Mary Wade Home, Chatham Place and Chatham Village. The Director of Facilities will also be responsible for supervision and management of all Maintenance, Environmental Services and Security employees. As part of the leadership team, the Director of Campus Facilities will be responsible for the immediate operations issue and analyzing the cost-effective solutions related to facilities management. The Facilities Director will ensure the facility team is aligned with the organization’s goals. The Facilities Team, along with its lead Maintenance and EVS team, will ensure that each functional area operates smoothly and efficiently with accountability at every level.
Schedule:
40 hours per week. Ability to be flexible with the schedule to accommodate the needs of the departments and campus.
Annual Salary Range:

Job Responsibilities included below but not limited to: The Director of Facilities will ensure Maintenance and Environmental Service teams work together as one department across the entire campus. Supervise Maintenance and Environmental Supervisors, to ensure, work orders are up to date, safety and emergency work is done in a timely manner and all departments, buildings and grounds are kept in working order and up to par. Vendor management and negotiation. Crisis resolution and quick decision making. Strong leadership and communication skills, able to observe, and listen effectively. Prepares annual department budgets and maintain operations within budget parameters. Evaluates new products, services, and procedures to improve efficiency, safety, and satisfactory customer service. Familiarity with OSHA and keeping up with regulatory requirements and changes within your field. Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors. Budgeting and cost control. Vendor and Contractor management Testing and inspections of equipment. Maintenance pertinent records for regulatory compliance and risk management. Responsible for building compliance with federal, state, and local codes and laws. Responsible for equipment, including performing required maintenance, coordination outside maintenance contracts, emergency generators, heating and air conditioning, temperature of plumbing fixtures and lighting levels. Supervises room refurbishing when needed, including outside contractor and in-house personnel. Oversee see all repairs in the entire campus. Ensuring the campus has proper equipment in good working order in order for employees to work effectively and deficiently. Responsible for establishing and reviewing contractual relationships for the management of physical plant and environmental services. Organizing and assisting in setting up equipment, tables, and chairs for special events through the year, and meetings. Responsible for Pest Control Programs through entire campus. Work in all areas of the campus buildings, basements, and apartments. Oversee the Environmental Services Department including supervisors in the laundry and housekeeping department Preparation of rooms for new residents All laundry items, sheets, resident personal items, supervising identification of resident clothing and arranges periodic resident clothing sales. Oversee the overall appearance of all buildings by daily monitoring of cleaning procedures and results. Order cleaning supplies for the entire campus. Perform regular rounds throughout campus building and make action plans for improvement. Maintain attention to detail in all areas. Educates staff and assigned personnel to be responsible for designated areas. Responsible for all Fire Disaster and Safety procedures/Fire Drills and employee In-service training. Responsible for building security and all security personnel. Stays current on safety bulletins and be able to take on other assignments and direction as needed Why work at Mary Wade Home? Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and or 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Good interpersonal and communication skills. General maintenance skills with basic electrical, plumbing, and general mechanical ability. Experience supervising environmental staff including housekeeping and laundry Knowledge of the senior retirement community or healthcare setting is required Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and make sound decisions Sensitivity to the needs of the elderly in a healthcare setting. Typing skills and computer knowledge. Prior MS Office experience, including Word and Excel. Demonstrates cooperation and teamwork with peers and other departments. Contributes to meeting the fluctuating staffing needs of the department as evidenced by flexibility in assignments and work schedules. Attends all mandatory education and in-service programs as indicated by attendance records. Engages in positive customer service interaction with residents, families and visitors. Takes ownership of an error in delivery of service and works to correct the problem. Displays good attendance and is punctual. Ability to have positive communication, work ethics and teamwork with employees. Maintain consistent and effective communication with the Executive Team and advising and consulting on major maintenance, repairs, or customer service issues.
