Job Description

Operations Manager (aircraft painting facility) SATYS Aftermarket Florida LLC Melbourne, FL 32935 SATYS Aftermarket Florida LLC is an aircraft painting company specializing in VIP/Business jets (at this location) and will soon be located on the grounds of the MLB Airport in Melbourne, FL. We are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our facility in Melbourne, FL. The Operations Manager will work closely with the Production Manager in managing daily tasks, managing employee workflow and ensuring that both office operations and warehouse operations follow company policy.

Responsibilities:

Assist in monitoring and analyzing each process in order to implement streamlined solutions that allow the site to standardize its production and operate at the efficiency levels established by SATYS. Implements the contractual industrial partnership with the customer to the their total satisfaction (Quality, Lead-times, Costs, Dialogue), by ensuring managers are enforcing policies and procedures for process standardization. Ensures managers are establishing the site’s activity schedule with the customer, checking its execution and, where applicable, take the necessary corrective actions, including taking necessary preventative actions and making changes at his or her discretion. Manage the distribution of the workforce between the various departments/working parties. Ensure, in particular, the match between capacity and workload on his/her site. Manages the site budget and keeps departments on track with spend. Works with Production Manager on the capacity planning of the team and production schedule. Schedule and organize staff shifts and overtime accordingly. Regular interaction with Customer on site – discussing production issues, concerns, flow, etc. Translates the site’s efficiency targets into indicators suited to the various departments. Ensures proper implementation of training and personnel development programs (tutoring) and skills management on the site. Oversees the proper implementation by the assigned manager of the safety and disciplinary rules. Reports regularly to their Operations Director on operations and any problems encountered. Informs their personnel of the directives issued by Management, and ensures top-down communication in his/her sector (in particular Management Reviews). Takes part in analyzing non-conformities, preventive actions, and their follow-up.

Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Ability to motivate and lead a large team in the organization. Flexible to work under stringent deadlines and high work pressure on a regular basis.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

: Bachelor’s degree preferred 5 years’ experience or equivalent, depending on training and experience. Aerospace background preferred.
