MTC is seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Manager (working supervisor) to oversee the maintenance, safety, and functionality of MTC properties. This hands-on leadership role involves managing day-to-day facilities operations, performing skilled maintenance work, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of building systems, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance, while effectively supervising staff and maintaining a safe, efficient environment across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with MTC policies and procedures, including safety and emergency protocols and the requirements of APD and other regulatory agencies. Oversee all aspects of building and grounds maintenance, including identifying priorities and collaborating with location managers to minimize disruptions to program services. Attend monthly safety meetings and actively address safety and accessibility issues. Conduct monthly facility inspections and follow up with corrective action plans. Manage maintenance contractors and serve as the main point of contact for subcontractors. Review and manage contracts related to maintenance, repairs, and construction. Supervise and maintain MTC’s vehicle fleet, ensuring timely inspections and repairs. Oversee and support major renovation and construction projects, coordinating with accounting or development departments as needed for reporting and compliance. Ensure required inspections are scheduled and completed for emergency lighting, backflow, load banks, sprinklers, generators, HVAC, door latching, and more. Perform and schedule preventive maintenance activities in compliance with NFPA and OSHA standards. Conduct skilled hands-on repairs in plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, tiling, and appliance servicing. Coordinate and execute work orders, special projects, and operational improvements efficiently and within timelines. Maintain accurate work order records, inspections, and time logs. Order and manage maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment. Move, disassemble, and reassemble furniture, appliances, and equipment as needed. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment. Perform other related duties as assigned. High school diploma or GED required; technical training or relevant certifications preferred. Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in facility maintenance, construction, or related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role. Strong knowledge of building systems, regulatory compliance (OSHA, NFPA), and preventative maintenance. Skilled in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general facility repair. Proficient in using computers and maintenance related software. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across locations. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. A positive, professional, and respectful attitude is required. Must pass a Level II background check, drug screening, and
