This role is critical in ensuring our facilities’ proper maintenance, safety, and functionality. We currently manage three buildings with a fourth location coming soon , and we need someone hands-on, proactive, and highly organized to oversee our buildings and projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Management:
Oversee the maintenance and operations of all buildings, ensuring they are safe, functional, and compliant.
City Permitting & Compliance:
Manage city permits and ensure all facilities meet regulatory requirements.
Landlord & Contractor Coordination:
Act as the main point of contact for landlords, contractors, and service providers.
Safety & Maintenance Oversight:
Ensure the proper functioning of fire extinguishers, fire alarms, restrooms, cafeteria, and other building infrastructure.
Project & Contractor Management:
Lead facility-related projects, coordinate construction work, and ensure deadlines are met.
Daily Building Walkthroughs:
Conduct routine inspections of all three buildings to proactively identify and address maintenance issues.
Emergency & After-Hours Support:
While not officially on-call, flexibility is required to handle urgent facility-related matters.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or related). Fluent in English (must be able to communicate effectively with landlords, city officials, and contractors). Spanish is a plus but not required. Hands-on and proactive approach —this is not a desk job! Strong organizational and follow-through skills to manage multiple projects and responsibilities. Experience in construction or facility management is preferred. Ability to work independently and ensure facilities run smoothly.
