Position Summary:

Responsible for advancing the strategic goals of Facilities Management (FM) through a structured, enterprise-wide programmatic approach. This role supports site-based FM teams by leading the development, implementation, and sustainment of programs that leverage scale to optimize efficiency and overall effectiveness of FM teams and assets. Additionally, the Director leads continuous improvement and process optimization within the FM domain, ensuring operational efficiency across all applications within the portfolio. This role integrates data analysis, process improvement, and program management to enhance safety and regulatory compliance, building and asset operations, and functional area economics. Responsibilities Leads initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency and consistency of Facilities Management operations through an enterprise-wide programmatic approach. Establishes and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to ensure continuous improvement and accountability across all locations in the portfolio. Creates and oversees comprehensive compliance and safety programs that both ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, thereby achieving the organization’s goal of being Ever Ready . Partners with Corporate Safety and Regulatory teams to track and develop solutions and responses to third-party survey findings. Implements and manages a standard comprehensive preventive maintenance program for the enterprise that ensures safety and regulatory compliance, minimizes downtime, and extends the lifespan of assets. Develops KPIs and metrics to monitor vendor performance, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and deliver value. Serves as the bridge between the Facilities Management functional area and the Supply Chain team to optimize vendor relationships and service supplier performance. Implements strategies and projects to optimize energy use across all facilities, reducing energy consumption and improving organizational economics. Partners with utilities providers in all operating geographies to ensure proper billing and cost controls. Tracks improvements and reports outcomes with tangible results. Creates and develops the annual Facilities Management capital program through data-driven analysis and condition assessments of our assets. Partners with local and Regional Facilities Management leaders to craft comprehensive project justifications for senior leadership review and approval. Assists the local Facilities Management and Facilities Development teams with the planning, execution, and tracking of the program. Develops, implements, and maintains a training program to enhance the technical and non-technical skills of frontline Facilities Management team members as well as leaders. Ensures the workforce is up to date with the latest industry standards, trends, andtechnologies, contributing to team member satisfaction and making Orlando Health a Great Place to Work. Oversees the implementation, optimization, and management of FM systems and technical programs (such as our Computerized Maintenance Management System). Manages the FM departmental policy and standards library, including new policy/standards development, regular and ad hoc updates, and revision control. Develops and implements change management strategies with leadership that prioritize key stakeholder engagement, building cross-functional relationships, and effective communication plans to ensure successful and sustainable change initiatives. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

QualificationsEducation/Training:

Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field required. A master s degree or MBA is preferred and may be considered as a substitute for two years of relevant experience.

Licensure/Certification:

Relevant certification(s) in Engineering, Facilities Management, Program Management, Project Management, or a related field is a plus (e.g. PgMP, PMP, CHFM, PE, etc.).

Experience:

Ten (10) years experience working in Engineering, Facilities Management, or Operations within a technical environment. Proven track record of successful team leadership and program development at the enterprise level in a matrix organization. In-depth knowledge of applying standards and driving consistency across an organization in a highly regulated environment.
