Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Facilities Assistant to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to support and maintain efficient operations within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to ensure smooth inventory management and facility operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and fulfill supply orders by processing requests, pulling materials, and delivering them to the appropriate requester.
- Verify and document all received materials accurately, ensuring proper recordkeeping.
- Organize and stock materials in designated locations to maintain an orderly workspace.
- Process transactions in the system by verifying receipts against purchase orders and sales orders prior to entry.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing shelves, pallet areas, and workstations according to safety standards.
- Identify and report any damaged, lost, or excess goods stored in the warehouse.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts as required to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Receive and safely manage hazardous waste materials in compliance with organizational policies.
- Utilize the Maximo application to establish and manage maintenance schedules for major assets, including job plans, preventive and predictive maintenance, and routes.
- Create and update Excel spreadsheets to track the issuance and receipt of materials and supplies. Requirements
- Proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate records.
- Experience with inventory management, including cycle counting and reporting.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
- Competence in using Microsoft Excel for tracking and documentation purposes.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with team members and departments.
- Ability to work in a structured environment while adhering to safety and operational procedures.
- Knowledge of handling hazardous materials is preferred.
