Full Job Description About Us:

We are a 30-bed Skilled Nursing Facility with a big vision: to become the most desirable destination for short-term Medicare rehab in the area. We’re focused on transforming the resident experience with hospitality-driven care, daily engagement, and wellness programs that go above and beyond expectations. To help lead that charge, we’re seeking a dynamic Activity Director who can shape and deliver a standout experience for every resident who walks through our doors.

Position Summary:

This is a key leadership position responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive activities and wellness program tailored to a short-term population. Your work will directly impact our ability to maintain a high-quality, full census by ensuring every resident feels connected, cared for, and engaged throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement a creative and inclusive monthly activities calendar Provide both group programming and individualized attention that supports resident goals and interests Coordinate wellness offerings such as social visits, light recreational therapies, or relaxation-focused activities Introduce hospitality-style touches like in-room or mobile refreshment services and weekly themed events Plan and oversee community outings that support residents’ physical and mental well-being Work closely with nursing, admissions, and therapy staff to support smooth transitions and positive outcomes Support efforts to enhance relationships with local ALFs through special programs and resident satisfaction

Qualifications:

Previous experience as an Activity Director or in a similar resident engagement role in a healthcare, hospitality, or senior living setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with residents from all walks of life Creative, flexible, and highly organized Knowledge of CMS and AHCA regulatory requirements preferred Certification as an Activity Director (or willingness to obtain) is a plus

Schedule:
