JOB SUMMARY
(Essential Functions) Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members, guests, and staff through light facility maintenance, minor repairs, and housekeeping. Supports the General Manager in maintaining the high-quality standards of the Yacht Club’s appearance, safety, and functionality.
JOB TASKS/DUTIES
Maintains and makes general repairs to plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical system, appliances, ventilation systems, and building structure of the club. Conducts light plumbing repairs such as leaking pipes and faucets and unclogs drains as needed. Performs various minor repairs including painting, light carpentry, basic electrical, and patching. Assists in maintaining club HVAC systems, refrigerators, ice machines, and pool equipment. Maintains and adheres to a monthly checklist and preventative maintenance program for the club’s facilities, equipment, and grounds. Cleans and maintains all common areas, including clubhouses, restrooms, locker rooms, dining rooms, and outdoor spaces. Stocks and restocks bathroom and cleaning supplies as necessary. Monitors and reports potential maintenance or safety concerns to the General Manager. Assists in emergency duties in the event of hurricane, fire, accident, or other disasters. General maintenance or handyman background preferred. Boating and marina familiarity is a plus. CPR/First Aid and AED certification, or willingness to obtain.

Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and cleaning chemicals. Proper PPE will be provided. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Must be physically able to perform tasks typical of the position, including frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling. Push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
