Facilities Manager The dReam Center Church of Atlanta – 4.5 Decatur, GA Job Details $45,000 – $55,000 a year 5 hours ago Qualifications Management Engineering Maintenance Mid-level Microsoft Office High school diploma or GED Analysis skills Driver’s License Bachelor’s degree Business Administration Leadership 2 years Communication skills Time management Full Job Description The Facilities Manager of The dReam Center Church of Atlanta (TdRC) serves the church by overseeing the operations, maintenance, schedules and upkeep of the church’s multi-campus building facilities. The Facilities Manager will provide hands-on support and also work with service providers to ensure that all systems and services are kept in working order and meet applicable health and safety standards. This position reports to the Chief of Staff. The Facilities Manager will directly supervise the Facilities Support personnel.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Ensure that the church and surrounding property are kept in proper order (in appearance, cleanliness, and maintenance) at all times. This includes climate control, landscaping, cleaning, and repairs/renovations. Provide direct supervision to the Facilities Support team to include scheduling, task assignment, training and coaching. Provide timely updates to the Chief of Staff in the form of pulse reports related to ongoing maintenance issues and building projects. Conduct regular team meetings and one on one meetings with the Facilities team to ensure expectations are being met related to performance, attendance and conduct. Perform or oversee all pre-service and post-service protocols to include building opening and closure and applicable inspections, maintenance requests, set ups and breakdowns, emergency cleanings, and damage control. Coordinate and oversee regular inspections to ensure safety compliance. Provide vendor management including contract negotiations and ensure that all services are delivered at a high standard. Ensure optimal utilization and organization of all spaces within the facility. This includes planning and managing office relocations and other ministry movements. Oversee the maintenance and operation of all supplies to ensure efficient usage. Maintain accurate records of all facilities-related activities and purchases. Oversee the opening and closing of the facility before and after times of worship, rehearsals, meetings and office hours by following the opening/closing process. Troubleshoot and maintain security, climate control and other facilities systems. Supervise, guide, and/or instruct the work assignments of Facilities Support team and volunteers. Monitor and escort contractors and contracted maintenance employees working on company property and equipment, ensuring they work safely and efficiently. Review plans and conduct on-site inspections to ensure work is performed according to established guidelines. Responsible for organizing, maintaining efficient parts and supply inventory, and all maintenance/ storage areas. Responsible for addressing facility breakdowns that can occur after work hours, weekends, and holidays. Perform other duties as may be required.
Education & Experience:
High school or equivalent (Required). Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or related field is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience (Required) Minimum of 3 years of building management experience (Required) Minimum of 2 years of experience as a people leader (Required) Valid Driver’s License (Required) Technical certifications are a plus.
Qualifications:
Must have leadership skills and be able to work collaboratively with other employees and volunteers. Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-change environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and task management software (e.g. Asana). Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities. Must be able to lift, carry light to moderate loads, and inspect areas that may require climbing, bending or standing for extended periods of time.
