The Position:

The Facilities Coordinator will drive the strategic success of Atlanta Tech Village’s physical and operations environment while working alongside the membership team. This role requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution to ensure our world-class tech hub delivers an exceptional experience for our community. This dynamic position balances both strategic facilities planning and direct implementation, from developing preventative maintenance programs to rolling up your sleeves when urgent issues arise. The ideal candidate will have experience managing facilities operations while maintaining the ability to personally handle immediate needs when required.

Job Description:

A successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical thinking, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to build relationships with vendors, team members, and community stakeholders. Previous facilities management experience and technical knowledge of building systems required. Our approach is relationship-driven. We lead with the community (it’s not about the office space). Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Facilities Planning:

Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs, capital improvement schedules, and long-term facilities strategies that support ATV’s growth and enhance member experience

Building Systems Oversight:

Direct the maintenance and optimization of critical building infrastructure including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems; implement energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives

Vendor & Budget Management:

Build and maintain relationships with service providers; negotiate contracts; manage facilities budget to ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining exceptional quality standards

Project Leadership:

Plan and oversee capital improvements and space redesigns; collaborate with leadership on future space needs and enhancements that support community growth

Team Leadership & Development:

Provide direction to cleaning and maintenance staff; establish standard operating procedures and quality standards that align with ATV values

Member Experience Enhancement:

Proactively identify opportunities to improve the physical environment based on community feedback; ensure all facilities issues are resolved promptly and professionally

Emergency Response & Risk Management:

Develop and implement comprehensive building safety protocols; serve as primary point of contact for facilities emergencies; ensure compliance with building codes and regulations

Community Integration:

Participate in events and community-building activities; ensure facilities improvements align with community needs and enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem The ideal candidate will have: 3-4 years of facilities management experience and/or building operations Excellence in verbal and written communication to engage with members effectively Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking Experience in startup ecosystem or technology industry preferred
