Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Grounds and Facilities Coordinator to support the overall maintenance and appearance of our grounds and facilities. This part-time role is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping spaces clean, safe, and welcoming. The successful candidate will handle general landscaping, basic facilities support, event setup/breakdown, and other related tasks. This is a non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and is therefore eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 per week. Key Responsibilities Perform routine groundskeeping duties, including: Lawn mowing and edging Shrub and hedge trimming Leaf blowing and general debris removal Operate equipment such as mowers, blowers, and power washers Conduct exterior and occasional interior power washing as needed Set up and break down furniture and equipment for events Assist with moving furniture, boxes, and supplies as directed Perform seasonal tasks such as salting walkways Inspect and report on the condition of grounds and outdoor facilities Support light maintenance projects as directed by supervisor Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned and stored properly after use
Qualifications:
Prior experience in lawn service, landscaping, or general facilities maintenance required Ability to safely operate power tools and landscaping equipment Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop, and be on feet for extended periods Dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation required
Schedule & Compensation:
Currently part-time role, 20-25 hours per week (schedule to be determined with supervisor) Some flexibility required for event support, including school breaks, occasional evenings or weekends Hourly wage based on experience (general hourly range $18-$20) For this part-time position, there are no benefits except tuition discount should your child enroll in our school and employee contributions with employer match up to 4% to our 403(b) retirement savings plan. The Campus High Meadows School sits on 42 wooded acres in Roswell. The school is housed in several buildings spread across the two meadows on the property. We have an active barnyard on campus, serving as the home for horses, sheep, bunnies, and chickens. Faculty and staff must be comfortable traveling between buildings in all types of weather, participating in outdoor activities on the meadows and in the forest, and intermingling with animals.
