Summary:
The National Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day facility operations and maintenance activities across LJA’s growing national office footprint. This role leads a team of five geographically aligned Regional Facilities Managers and partners closely with the Director of Real Estate and Facilities to develop and enforce consistent standards, ensure compliance, and support efficient operations across all locations. The National Facilities Manager serves as the central point of accountability for all FreshService ticket management, national vendor oversight, facilities budgeting, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination. This leader fosters a culture of service, responsiveness, and operational excellence throughout the facilities team.
General Responsibilities:
Serve as system owner and daily administrator for the FreshService facilities ticket board Review, triage, assign, and escalate incoming tickets across 80+ office locations Monitor ticket trends, resolution times, and customer satisfaction metrics Define and enforce service level expectations for response, resolution, and communication Coordinate with Regional Facilities Managers and vendors to resolve maintenance issues and emergencies Collaborate with IT, HSE, and Office Services on shared ticket queues and space management needs Directly supervise five Regional Facilities Managers and provide indirect leadership to local office contacts Conduct regular one-on-ones, team meetings, and performance check-ins Support hiring, onboarding, and professional development for team members Promote a service-first mindset and positive, solutions-oriented team culture Facilitate collaboration across regions and ensure consistent execution of policies and processes Manage shift coverage, vacation planning, and escalation protocols Oversee vendor sourcing, onboarding, and performance across all regions Maintain national vendor contracts for janitorial, HVAC, plumbing, general maintenance, etc. Ensure vendor insurance, COIs, and compliance documentation are up to date Lead implementation and enforcement of national maintenance standards Conduct site visits, audits, and inspections to ensure consistent performance Participate in annual facility budget forecasting and capital planning with the Director Track facility-related spend and monitor budget adherence at the regional and national level Provide reporting on maintenance trends, vendor performance, and ticket volume KPIs Assist with cost control initiatives and national procurement strategy Act as primary point of contact for facilities-related escalations from internal stakeholders Work closely with Real Estate, Design, Projects, and IT on office openings, moves, and renovations Collaborate with Accounting on invoice coding, approvals, and vendor payments Provide visibility into facilities workload and capacity planning using monday.com
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred. Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CFM (Certified Facility Manager), FMP (Facility Management Professional), BOMI – Systems Maintenance Administrator (SMA), and OSHA 30-Hour Certification preferred.
Required Experience:
Minimum 10 years of facility operations experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multi-location teams.
