No Purpose of JobThe purpose of this job is to manage the operations of assigned facilities owned by Athens-Clarke County Unified Government under the jurisdiction of the Leisure Services Department. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervising and evaluating assigned staff, preparing and monitoring facility budget, managing facility programs, utilization and rentals, developing goals, and performing additional tasks as assigned.
Job Related RequirementsWork Schedule:
Varied hours Monday through Friday depending on the current programs. Saturdays and Sundays as needed based on programs, rentals and special events. May be required to work on religious holidays.
Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Must work cooperatively with others.
When requirements include vehicle operation, responsible for the safety, readiness and operation of the vehicle and must abide by ACC’s safe driving policy.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Bachelor’s degree in course of study related to the occupational field with three years of related experience required; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for the job. Two years of supervisory experience required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be certified in First Aid/CPR/AED and Mandated Reporter or have ability to attain within 6 months of employment.
Must have or obtain within twelve (12) months of hire FEMA’s NIMS 100, 200, 700 and 800 level training and maintain these trainings throughout employment.

Youth Athletics & Tennis:
Certification as a Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA) preferred.

Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including a computer, telephone and calculator. Must be able to use body members to work, move, or carry objects or materials.
This position requires:
walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to climb stairs including irregular ladders and historic stairwells that are throughout many facilities Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those of light work.
