COORDINATOR
Job Summary:
The Facilities & Safety Coordinator is responsible for: Managing & maintaining the efficient & smooth operation of all ASC sites.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position requires no supervision of staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensures facility equipment is in proper working order and available for use. Maintains physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment. Receives, manages, and processes work order requests; ensures problems are resolved in a timely manner. Acts as liaison between employees and any outside contractors needed to resolve facility issues. Ensures safety standards are followed throughout the facility. Assists with application required for environmental permits. Maintains inventory of facility supplies; reorders as needed. Ensures rooms and facilities are ready for events and classes to include event set up, testing of technology and initial day-of handoff to event host. Respond to during & after-hours emergencies as needed. Responsible for work site injury documentation and reporting. Ensures safety and security policies and procedures are followed. Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents and health problems. Ensures compliance with state, federal and local safety laws, regulations, codes and rules. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Must be able to regularly and for prolonged periods of more than four (4) hours per day stand, walk, sit, bend, lift, stretch, climb, crawl to maintain equipment and buildings. Must be able to speak and hear for verbal communication, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, mouse and keyboard for written communication. Must have specific vision abilities required which include close vision requirements due to computer work and be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions. Must be able to work in moderate noise conditions (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic). Must be able to work in a confined area.
Travel or Special Requirements:
Driving during the workday as well as local or out of state travel may be required to perform job duties. Must have a valid driver’s license without any previous reckless operation charges.
Education and Experience:
At least five years of related experience required. Safety and/or facilities experience preferred. Associate degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or EHS preferred.
