This role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing all mechanical, electrical, and other equipment that impacts the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Create a safe and attractive environment by maintaining the hotel according to safety standards. Supervise and train maintenance teams. Complete repairs in hotel rooms and buildings. Develop and coordinate plans for routine and preventative maintenance. Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the hotel’s exterior, grounds, pool, and exercise room. Prepare and monitor the engineering budget. Ensure regulatory compliance and update blueprints. Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules. Coordinate procurement of equipment and supplies. Ensure all safety and security measures are enforced. Maintain positive relationships with vendors, contractors, and hotel staff. Ensure maintenance work meets quality standards and is completed on time and within budget. Work towards increasing guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of five years of hotel or apartment experience. HVAC certification preferred. Knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing maintenance. Experience with general maintenance tools. Troubleshooting skills in painting, HVAC, and carpentry. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures and cleaning chemicals. Effective communication skills. Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays.
