This position assists with the oversight of housing facilities and operations for all on campus residential communities totaling 5000 beds. This position works collaboratively with other departments to ensure housing facilities are maintained and facilities projects are executed effectively. The Assistant Director provides oversight and direction to the Residence Hall front desk program and oversees key and access security. This position oversees building readiness and room turnover processes. The Assistant Director supervises the Housing Operations Coordinators, student Senior Desk Services Coordinators and indirectly supervises student staff in maintaining the housing/residential buildings. This position is essential personnel in the event of a crisis or evacuation. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Understanding of current technology and Windows‐based programs including Microsoft Office suite. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong supervisory skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong administrative and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multiple constituencies, including students, faculty and staff Required Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree. At least 2 years post-master’s full-time experience or 5 years post-bachelors full-time experience Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education, Business or related field.
