As a Permanent Facilities Project Manager, you will be atthe forefront of managing critical facilities projects across arange of government buildings and sites. This role is integral tothe smooth operation of our government facilities, ensuring thatall projects are completed on time, within budget, and to thehighest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsiblefor the full life cycle of facilities projects, from initialplanning and design through to construction, commissioning, andhandover. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact onthe functionality, efficiency, and sustainability of our governmentfacilities.

Responsibilities:

Manage all phases of facilitiesprojects, including planning, design, construction, commissioning,and handover. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and otherstakeholders to develop project plans and specifications. Overseethe procurement of contractors and suppliers, ensuring competitivebidding and adherence to government procurement regulations.

Supervise construction activities, ensuring compliance with designspecifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Coordinate with facilities maintenance teams to integrate newprojects into existing operations and maintenance programs. Monitorproject progress, proactively identifying and resolving issues thatcould impact timelines or budgets. Prepare and present projectreports to senior management, providing updates on project status,risks, and mitigation strategies. Foster a culture of continuousimprovement, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency,quality, and sustainability in our facilities projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture,Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years ofexperience in facilities project management, preferably in thegovernment sector. Proven experience managing the full life cycleof facilities projects, from planning and design through toconstruction, commissioning, and handover. Strong knowledge of HVACsystems, building codes, and construction industry best practices.

Excellent project management skills, with a track record ofdelivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standardof quality. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability toanticipate and resolve project issues effectively. Excellentcommunication and stakeholder management skills, with the abilityto collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors,and maintenance teams.
