Facilities Manager Position Available In Essex, Massachusetts

• Position Summary:

• The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring bank buildings meet organizational needs by overseeing daily maintenance, safety, and operational functions. This role plays a hands-on part in maintaining a safe, functional, and efficient environment across a portfolio of bank properties.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Operations and Efficiency
• + Manage facility operations, including cleaning and landscaping.

+ Manage budgets for maintenance, repairs, and other facility-related expenses. + Responsible for the efficient and effective management of a portfolio of properties through regular visits, conducted at least twice per quarter with a goal of monthly. + Manage and organize supplies and tools. + Ensure facilities meet government regulations and code requirements. + Oversee building projects and renovations.

• Maintenance and Repair
• + Manage and supervise maintenance staff and contractors.

+ Inspect buildings and grounds to identify areas needing attention. + Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations. + Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other equipment. + Oversee and coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and renovations. + Other duties as assigned

• Vendor Management
• + Engage in-house and third-party services for maintenance, repairs, cleaning, landscaping, etc. + Oversee and monitor vendor performance.
• Strategic Planning
• + Develop and implement long-term facility management plans. + Advise on energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives. + Assist in updating the five-year project plan, annually.
• Customer Service
• + Develop key partner relationships with branch and regional leaders. + Provide Tier 2 response for maintenance requests. + Communicate effectively with peers, employees, and other stakeholders.
• Skills and Qualifications
• Technical Skills
• + Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on equipment and systems, such as changing belts and filters on HVAC. + Experience using hand and power tools.
• Soft Skills
• + Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Good communication and interpersonal skills. + Attention to detail and organizational skills. + Willing and able to be the primary contact for after-hours calls, in rotation with peers, and to dispatch on-call maintenance technicians as required. + Other duties as assigned.
• Physical Requirements
• + Ability to lift and carry heavy objects of more than 50 pounds. + Ability to work in various environments, including heights and outdoors. + Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
• Education and Experience
• + High school diploma or equivalent.

+ 8+ years of experience in facilities maintenance within a multi-building portfolio. + Some vocational training or experience in a related field is required. + FMP certification preferred.
