Job Description:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal safety programs, including employee safety training, incident reporting and documentation, and support of
OSHA VPP
initiatives. Promote, implement, and enforce safety and health policies through consistent education, communication, and engagement with employees at all levels. Collaborate with facility leadership to oversee contractor and temporary worker safety, ensuring proper training, use of appropriate equipment, and adherence to established safety protocols. Conduct frequent on-site safety observations to proactively identify hazards. Perform both formal and informal inspections, evaluations, and follow-up reporting to drive continuous improvement. Lead thorough investigations of accidents and incidents, perform root cause analyses, and ensure timely completion of corrective action reports. Coordinate with plant teams and contractors to verify that fire protection systems are regularly inspected, tested, and fully functional. Act as the primary point of contact for the on-site health clinic. Schedule and manage annual physicals, hearing tests, respirator evaluations, and other required medical exams. Oversee medical surveillance activities including audiometric testing, lead exposure assessments, and industrial hygiene monitoring.
