Our team is looking for Part-Time, Facilities Staff at the Maine Sports Arena to support our stakeholders coming in and out of the Facility. The expectation is that our staff can commit to working at least 10 hours/week, including weekends, up to 25 hours if desired. Typical shifts range from the following:
Monday

  • Friday:

    3:00 pm

  • 10:00 pm
    Weekend shifts between 6:00 am
  • 10:00 pm Here’s what you’ll be doing

Key Job Responsibilities:
Facility Management:

Assisting the Facility Manager with daily operations, such as:
Opening/closing the of the building (prior to arrival of stakeholders, after they leave, etc.)
Supervision of the immediate lobby area
Set-up/take down and relocation of sports equipment where designated
Maintain cleanliness of reception area, basketball and turf surfaces, restrooms, etc.
Report maintenance issues as they arise/as needed

Customer Service:

Answer questions from key stakeholders coming into the Facility such as families of athletes, and athletes themselves

Safety:

Ensuring the facility is a safe environment, following, safety, health and environmental laws Assuring those utilizing the Facility have signed appropriate paperwork/waivers
Promote sportsmanship of members and guests Maintain a strong knowledge and enforce all guidelines and procedures

You are our rock in maintaining and operating the facility. Ability to depend on you in terms of showing up on-time and being a responsible employee of the facility

  • be on time, even early, to open the doors for people to come in
Communication Pro:

Ability to communicate effectively and be a positive representative of 3STEP Sports and the Fieldhouse Sudbury

  • you are the first impression that people will have when they walk in!
    Communication between staff and supervisor should exist on a daily basis, even if you are not scheduled. Everyone is responsible for content and then follow-up when needed, through our group messaging
    If you have a conflict come up let us know as soon as you can, we understand things can come up
  • you providing us notice allows us to ensure we have a person in place to be heading our Facility Here is what we hope YOU’LL take away from this role: While this may just be “part-time” role for you, we want you to learn as much as possible while you’re with us
