Job Description

Kittery Trading Post Facilities Manager Kittery, Maine We are working with our client, Kittery Trading Post, in seeking a Facilities Manager , to be based in Kittery, Maine with local travel between the retail store and three additional facilities. The Facilities Manager plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and brand integrity of all store and corporate facilities. This position oversees all aspects of building operations across multiple locations, including safety inspections, preventative maintenance, vendor coordination, and emergency response. Facilities Manager:

7-10+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, preferably in a multi-site retail, commercial, or distribution environment. Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building automation, and life safety systems. Proven experience managing vendor contracts, capital projects, remodeling, and equipment procurement. Solid understanding of building codes , safety regulations, and compliancestandards (e.g., OSHA, ADA, fire/life safety). Demonstrated ability to manage 24/7 on-call responsibilities for building emergencies and alarm response. Experience supporting security systems(e.g., CCTV, burglar/fire alarms) and working in coordination with Loss Prevention and HR. Strong leadership and communication skills with experience supervising cross-functional teams and contractors. Familiarity with retail operations , event setups , and the unique demands of large-footprint commercial spaces. A hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset , with the ability to juggle priorities and respond quickly in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Facilities Manager:

Maintain electrical systems, chiller systems, and boiler systems. Manage heat pumps and mini-split HVAC systems. Oversee elevator contracts, ensuring all lifts are operational and compliant. Inspect and maintain roofing, compactors, and signage lighting. Perform daily site, sidewalk, and landscaping inspections. Oversee landscaping contracts and seasonal grounds care. Manage snow removal contracts for 3 buildings. Supervise waste hauling contracts and on-site waste systems. Maintain and inspect propane tank farms for safety and compliance. Monitor and maintain fire alarm systems and burglar systems Provide 24/7 emergency response to building issues or alarms Handle quoting and purchasing of major building equipment Supervise construction and remodeling projects from design to completion. Manage vehicle contracts across all companies. Overseerental contractsand vendor coordination. Lead event design and layout planning for all company functions. Work with internal teams (HR, MIS, LP) to support infrastructure and personnel needs. Oversee employee badging systems (in coordination with internal security contacts.
