Additional Information About the Role Director, Facilities Engineering for the Academic Campus ~Oversight to include both Barnes Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital~ This leader will oversee a team of 200+ FTE’s and will have strategic oversight for the Facilities Engineering for the Academic Campus’s to include both Barnes Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Responsible for implementing strategies through planning and development of goals and objectives, setting of standards of performance measuring the effectiveness of the operations, and organizing and coordinating the Facilities Engineering activities. Responsibilities Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals. Direct operations of the system facilities engineering departments and integrates services with other departments within the HSO to ensure safe and timely patient care. Direct the creation of work plans that include the correct resources needed for building systems maintenance, general environment of care, grounds maintenance and regulatory compliance. Researches, evaluates, selects and implements systems which improve the efficiency of department operations.
