As a Facilities Manager, you will oversee the maintenance and custodial operations of our 35-acre main campus in Bridgeton, MO, which includes seven buildings and our service center in Maryland Heights, MO. This role does provide occasional after-hours support on a rotational basis.

What You’ll Do:
Manage Building Maintenance Team:

Assume full responsibility for the management and maintenance of multiple facilities
Coordinate and manage all construction project-related activities, including facility office design, space planning, furniture purchasing, and building expansion
Oversee Facility Security, including alarm systems and employee card access

Manage Custodial Team:

Evaluate, modify, implement, and manage existing office cleaning activity
Manage carpet, window, floor waxing, etc., cleaning schedules
Look for improved methods to save time and money
Assist with special events

Manage Grounds Maintenance Contractors:

Manage all landscaping projects and related grounds maintenance projects
Grounds maintenance, including lawn care, tree trimming, mulching, etc.

Safety & Compliance:

Serve as a key partner in supporting and sustaining the company’s Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) certification efforts
Collaborate closely with the Safety team to maintain and continuously improve campus safety programs, procedures, and documentation
Support safety audits, inspections, and corrective action implementation in alignment with VPP and OSHA standards
Coordinate emergency preparedness efforts, including evacuation plans, first aid readiness, AED maintenance, and safety drills with the safety team
Lead or participate in campus safety committee activities and contribute to proactive safety culture development
Additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 3+ years of Operations & Management experience or 5+ years of Technical Operations & Management experience required.
Project management experience, including new construction projects and remodeling; Construction management/superintendent experience preferred
Acquiring and directing general contractors and selection of quality subcontractors, maintaining schedule targets, and cost control
Computer skills preferred: Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and a work-order management system (CMMS or FMX)
HVAC and controls knowledge preferred with a high level of mechanical aptitude
Security, access control, and surveillance systems (CCTV) experience preferred
Excellent communication skills with a strong desire to build and maintain productive relationships across departmental lines
Proactive approach with ability to effectively prioritize, communicate status, and complete projects in a timely fashion
Proven ability to lead and quickly adapt to changing priorities and situations
Must be a result-oriented, self-starter with the ability to drive the execution of projects and tactical initiatives
Occasional after-hours support when needed.
