Facility Operations Manager…this full-time 40-hour week position is responsible for managing and overseeing all facility operations, including capital projects, across campuses and will work closely with Senior Leadership, the Board and Campus Pastors (as needed) to bring building improvements, additions, and refurbishments to completion by working directly with architects, interior design professionals, general contractors and other professionals as needed. The Facility Operations Manager must possess sound problem-solving skills and be available after-hours when required. This person must be able to translate The Crossing’s vision and culture into the management and operations of the entire facility department and, in addition to providing oversight to the Campus Facility Managers, will provide them leadership and vision in the following areas. Oversight of building and grounds maintenance, strategic planning and daily management of facility operations, and direct supervision of management staff involved in these operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Developing and implementing facility management policies and procedures that ensure the efficient operation of all physical assets. Preparing and managing budgets, including the approval of maintenance expenses and capital expenditure projects. Developing and maintaining an obsolescence plan. Ensuring compliance with security and safety regulations. Leading, recruiting, and training the facilities management team to achieve departmental objectives effectively. Conducting regular inspections and audits to assess the need for repair and renovations. Overseeing the management of facility-related emergencies. Evaluating facility management technology updates and system upgrades.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR

High school diploma or related training and 5-8 years prior relevant experience preferredPosition requires significant mental effort and regularly requires extended periods of concentration and complex tasks. Will also involve high levels of stress (requires maintaining a calm and non-anxious presence when interacting with co-workers and outside contractors during tense situations and/or tight deadlines)Extensive experience in facility management or in a supervisory role within a relevant departmentStrong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams effectively under challenging conditionsExcellent problem-solving, negotiation and communication skills including a high level of patienceA forward-thinking leader with a blend of strategic planning, project-management and hands-on management skillsEmphasis on accuracy, timelines and follow-upAbility to write reports, business correspondenceAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff and vendorsStrong time management skills along with ability to prioritize and organize workloadSolid memory for details and new informationAbility to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situationsSelf-motivatedAbility to keep information confidentialTrustworthy, reliable, teachable, humble, flexibleTeam playerPassionate about The Crossing and their relationship with GodSpiritual Gifts that include Leadership, Discernment and Administration
