Wilkinson Correctional Facility Position Summary:

Reports to the designated warden. Responsible for supervising the offender grievance process in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) directives.

Essential Functions:

Gather and examine agency records to discover patterns Interview potential witnesses by taking statements from witnesses and complainants. Question witnesses via phone or in person; record statements. Protect the identity of informants for security reasons. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed. Provide regular feedback to staff regarding social skills procedures and intervention techniques. Maintain accountability of offenders and property; adhere to safety practices. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years experience in criminal justice or related field required
. Valid driver’s license in the state of Mississippi or Louisiana with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

Post Hire Requirements:

Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements.
