Job Summary The Director of Facilities Management at St. Dominic Hospital oversees the Plant Maintenance Department, including St. Catherine’s Village, ancillary buildings, and SDMA clinics. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all facilities management functions, including construction. The director coordinates with other departments to ensure the safe and efficient operation of patient care-related electronic equipment and oversees the construction, installation, and maintenance of physical plant facilities. Additionally, the director advises on contracts and procurement of new equipment and systems, ensures environmental compliance, conducts monitoring and inspections, and provides training on related policies and regulations. Minimum Requirements Experience

Engineering and Construction:
Directs the design and construction of new facilities or modifications to existing ones and arranges for outside contractors for specific maintenance and repair tasks.
Maintenance Oversight:
Manages building repairs, construction projects, and continuous maintenance of equipment. Oversee the production and distribution of utilities like steam, power, and gas.
Contract and Safety Management:
Reviews public utility contracts, maintains the safety data sheet library, and implements training programs for hazardous materials and waste management.
Regulatory Compliance:
Works with departments to resolve regulatory issues, compiles information on plant facilities, and establishes maintenance standards. Ensures compliance with agencies such as EPA, DEQ, DHH, FDA, State Police, and Hazmat.
Preventative Maintenance:
Develops and adjusts maintenance programs to meet insurance policy requirements and ensures the effective management of hazardous materials and wastes.
Quality Assurance:
Provides technical support, conducts quality assurance programs, and performs safety inspections to assess compliance and develop corrective action plans. Experience
