Job Description
Supervisor position at the Central MS Correctional Facility Print Shop Works with designers and clients to develop in house printed materials. Maintains, operates, and manages offset printing presses to print and provide bindery functions. Leads and supervises staff in the production setting. Assembles signage, displays, and large format banners. Trains and supervises staff; prioritizes and assigns work. Recommends hiring, disciplinary actions, and termination of staff. Complete quotes and verifies billing; maintains records for reporting. Services and maintains all equipment. Orders printing inventory, project materials, and other necessary supplies. Cross-trains staff on operations required in Print Services. Develops knowledge of current innovations and recommends equipment upgrades to meet future needs.
Experience with these equipment types:
Offset printing press. High Volume Production Printer Digital Cutter, Flat Bed Cutter Bindery equipment. Screenprint equipment. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or higher preferred. Previous management experience preferred but not required. Must be able to pass NCIC background check. Must have no hesitations about working within the prison system.
