out of 5 stars 683 County Home Road, Ellisville, MS 39437 JOB SUMMARY The LTC Plant Operations and EVS Coordinator provides oversight of maintenance, grounds, and environmental services. The Coordinator ensures a clean, efficient, organized maintenance and environmental service system, and safe, efficient operations of the facility that meet regulatory compliance and organizational standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, perform overhead lifting and perform other common physical movements as needed for the position. Ability to lift and carry in excess of 50 pounds.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / ASSIGNED TASKS

Maintain facility systems, equipment and grounds by ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are completed and restoring, repairing or replacing faulty or inoperable equipment, components, or parts. Coordinate and monitor maintenance and environmental service personnel and work assignments to ensure timely completion of work orders, tasks, and projects. Develops systems and programs for maximizing the effectiveness of the housekeeping functions. Assists Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) to make decisions with regard to hiring, training and assignment of plant operations and EVS personnel. Review and evaluate work performance of assigned personnel. Contribute to the facility efforts to maintain and/or improve quality of care through participation in facility QAPI Committee and attending department head meetings. Provide oversight and staff training as needed for proper care of equipment; safe chemical preparation, use, and storage; and safe, correct use of tools and equipment. Oversee the current master cleaning plan for the facility. Perform inspections to ensure the facility and grounds are maintained in a safe and sanitary manner according to facility policy, established standards, and regulatory guidance. Participate in coordination of routine and special projects ensuring adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations. Monitor maintenance and environmental services communication, logs and reports as outlined in policies and procedures. Oversee the organized purchasing of necessary equipment, chemicals and supplies as well as evaluating new products while adhering to established standards, and regulatory guidance. Participate in facility disaster planning efforts including, ensuring staff participation in fire drills as required by state statute, maintaining emergency supplies, and performing staff training as needed. Refer decisions that require policy change or approval of outside contracts or services to the Nursing Home Administrator. Ensure appropriate use of personal protective equipment. Perform other job duties and tasks as assigned.
