Position Function:

Perform duties relating to maintaining grounds and physical facilities, equipment, and event set up. Responsible for event work including securing facility and having direct contact with the public.

Salary Grade:

12 Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are “Unclassified” and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.

Anticipated Appointment Date:

June 2025.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Performs a variety of general labor and maintenance of grounds, buildings, and equipment to include mowing grass, weeding, cleaning stalls, painting, plumbing, etc.
2. Operates all farm equipment including tractors and all attachable implements.
3. Participates in the preparation, break down, and clean up of events.
4. Provides service to clientele as needed.
5. Responsible for working and securing facility during regular hours and events.
6. Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:

High school diploma or GED.

Experience:

Two years of related experience in general maintenance work.

Licensure:

Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience operating heavy equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge and skill in the use of farm equipment, implements, and the use of mechanical tools.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to follow instructions. Working Conditions and Physical Effort 1. Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
2. Ability to lift and carry up to at least 150 pounds.
3. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
