ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for conducting interior and exterior patrols of the Company facility. Responsible for controlling access into the building by employees, visitors, and contractors. Actively engages with employees and vendors as they enter the building. Assist the Security Manager with initiating and resolving investigations by gathering evidence (photos, video, etc..), providing written documentation, and coordinates with the Director of Human Resources for advisement on actions warranted. Monitor and report on any safety or security concerns/incidents. Responds to medical emergencies at the facility and resolves emergency situations by communicating with the Management team and with external authorities. Assist with emergency evacuations of the building in partnership with the Management Team. Maintains Security equipment and documents. Monitors cameras and other surveillance equipment. Completes all assigned tasks within the guidelines and timelines set forth by Director of Human Resources and Security – Facilities Manager. Partners with the warehouse team to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Facilitates and participates in quarterly safety meetings. Maintain overall office cleanliness, supplement cleaning crew on off days when necessary. Help Security-Facilities Manager oversee the external cleaning company. Conduct daily audits in high value/secure areas, and during waste removal and shredding of product. Secure the building at the end of their shift, in partnership with the management team.
INTERACTION
This position will interact closely with the Security/Facilities Manager, Company staff members and external parties.
EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent. College Degree or coursework with an emphasis in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or a closely related field or equivalent experience a plus. 1+ years of experience in the field of Security or in a related area. CPR/AED, First Aid Certification a plus.

Knowledge of commonly used security industry concepts, practices, and procedures including investigative techniques, security access technologies with perimeter and electronic surveillance. Proficient using computers a plus. Ability to adhere to Company and Security Department policies and procedures, codes and standards of conduct, ethics, attendance, and appearance. Ability to pass pre-employment testing, credit, criminal and civil background investigations, employment verifications and physical/drug screens. Ability to effectively perform duties in a crisis and work under pressure without the loss of composure. Understanding of risk and crisis management. Strong oral and written communications skills in English; additional languages a plus. Competent customer service and relationship building abilities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with keen attention to detail. Strong interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving abilities. Professional demeanor; team player orientation. Ability to interface with internal and external parties. It relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision. Ability to be on-call beyond normal business hours, weekends, and holidays. A high degree of confidentiality required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
