What You’ll Do:

Perform general maintenance within Foster facilities, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, floor drain cleaning, concrete patching, etc. Perform troubleshooting, installation, repair, and maintenance on facility systems. Facilitate larger facility issues with external contractors for things like commercial refrigeration, racking systems, storage, equipment (motorized and non-motorized), and HVAC unit repairs/replacement. Solicit bids/quotes from external contractors for capital expenses, research vendors, make recommendations, and schedule/support the work as needed. Operate walk-behind floor scrubbers and ensure facilities are maintained to a high cleanliness standard. Maintain the grounds primarily in Greensboro (and assist with other sites as needed), including litter control, weed management, parking lot signage/striping, and overall curb appeal. Oversee pest control across all facilities, ensuring compliance with appropriate programs and standards. Manage third-party waste removal vendors and coordinate dumpster/compactor needs, repairs, and changes. Maintain accurate records for warranty repairs, contract obligations, and preventative maintenance. Ensure safety and accessibility during inclement weather (e.g., snow/ice removal, salt applications), including coordination with contractors when needed. Order supplies necessary for facility maintenance and upkeep. Lead, manage, and develop a facilities team by delegating assignments, holding teammates accountable, managing performance, scheduling coverage, and promoting a culture of ownership and safety. What You’ll Bring to the

Strong relationship-building skills and a positive, solution-oriented mindset. 7+ years of experience in a related facilities or maintenance role, with relevant experience in the areas listed above. Proven experience with commercial refrigeration systems and warehouse racking installation/maintenance . Prior leadership experience, including managing and scheduling a team, delegating tasks, and holding others accountable . Technical training/education/certifications relevant to electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or general facilities maintenance. Comfort working at heights and using ladders, scissor lifts, and other elevated equipment. Strong communication skills—written and verbal—when engaging with internal and external partners. Computer skills, including Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Teams. Willingness to travel between sites and flex schedule as needed, including evenings/weekends in emergencies. Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Welding ability (Stick/MIG/TIG) is a plus.
