Join Team Novo Nordisk and help us make what matters. The Position Provide & coordinate maintenance & services to the facility in a cost-effective manner. Provides leadership to junior team members for large projects and shutdowns. Trains and mentors junior team members. Relationships Reports to Manager. Essential Functions Assists in management & execution of contracts for services while improving value
Maintains the facility & responds timely to building maintenance requests
Responsible for physical condition of building & grounds
Responsible for planning & performing work relating to general repair of buildings such as installing & relocating building or office fixtures & minor repairs to building, walls, floors, stairs, general carpentry, etc.
Routinely audits building & parking lot cleanliness & maintenance
Leads projects of greater complexity including shutdown projects requiring multiple crews, projects exceeding $100k
SME for facility equipment and systems (i.e., door operators, epoxy flooring, etc.)
Provides training, direction, and mentoring to team members
Participates with spill response & first aid teams in coordination with EHS
Updates Facility Management share-point site & records
Supports execution of shipping, receiving & non-GMP warehouse tasks as needed
Provides back up support for waste management & fire protection systems
Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
Other duties as assigned Physical Requirements Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Ability to be on feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May require corrected vision to 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. May be required to work at elevated heights. Occasionally works around odorous &/or hazardous materials. May be required to wear latex gloves. Occasionally performs critical job functions in extremely cold work environments. Occasionally positions oneself within confined spaces for inspection, repair & maintenance of equipment. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Able to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks. Does not require a valid drivers license. Qualifications High school diploma (GED) required
Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Planning, or a relevant field of study from an accredited university preferred
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in facilities maintenance or similar field required
Building maintenance experience required
Knowledge of security systems a plus
Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations preferred
Participation in emergency response teams a plus
Pharmaceutical experience required
Good communication & writing skills is a plus
Working knowledge of fire detection/suppression/prevention systems a plus
Valid driver’s license & ability to drive box truck for movement of materials between NN sites preferred
