The Facilities Service Coordinator works closely with the Facilities Manager, Maintenance Technicians and Residents to perform general maintenance and upkeep for all Charlotte Rescue Mission facilities, including buildings, grounds, vehicles, and systems. The Facilities Service Coordinator will be responsible for planning and dispatching the Maintenance Technicians and Residents working in the Facilities department. The Facilities Service Coordinator is tasked with ensuring good stewardship and management of our two campuses and will work across multiple departments to provide a safe and habitable environment for our residents and staff. In addition, the Facilities Service Coordinator will supervise the work of vendors and volunteers assigned to work in this area. Some evening/weekend work is required, as well as being on call for emergencies. This position works 40 hours per week. The pay range is $23.05 – $25.45 per hour, commensurate with experience. The work shift is Monday-Friday, day shift. There is an on-call rotation with this position.

The ideal candidate will have:
Experience:
High School diploma required. Bachelors degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience with basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems is required. 5 years is a plus! 2-3 years’ experience in a landscaping/groundskeeping role, and know the basics of operating landscaping equipment (mowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, etc) Working knowledge of HVAC repair, general maintenance and preventative maintenance of facilities, grounds and gas-powered vehicles. Basic knowledge of facility housekeeping procedures Skills Good verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and facilities management software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for prioritizing maintenance tickets in order to schedule work assignments for Maintenance Technicians to close out tickets in a timely manner. Make decisions with the Facilities Manager about purchasing and outsourcing to complete maintenance requests. Assist in training and orientation of new staff and residents working in the Facilities department. Assist in training new staff on E-Space, the maintenance request software. Perform skilled maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand or power tools. Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, or replacement parts. Oversee the residents working with the Facilities team maintaining the landscaping and general upkeep of grounds at Rebound and Dove’s Nest. Work with vendors and contractors to assess needs and obtain estimates. Organize office moves and other room set-up requests, working with IT as needed. Oversee the maintenance shop, tools, and supply inventory. Coordinate with volunteer groups on facilities projects and provide oversight when needed. Available and able to respond to emergencies in an appropriate and timely fashion. Other duties as assigned.
