Job Description

Facilities Manager 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 2301 Sugar Bush Road, Raleigh, NC 27612 We are currently seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team in our Raleigh, NC corporate office. This is a full-time position.

Working Conditions:

Typical office environment. Expected travel in rural areas in and/or out of state as needed, up to 50% of time. Who are we? We are a nonprofit Head Start organization that was established in 1974. We serve migrant and seasonal farmworker children and families by providing high-quality early childhood education in a safe and nurturing environment. We have nearly 50 campuses across 10 states, and we serve approximately 3,000 children each year. Essential Functions As the Facilities Manager you will ensure that the construction, renovation and maintenance of ECMHSP Direct Service facilities complies with the Head Start Performance Standards and all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations, and provide training and technical assistance to delegate agencies on facility-related issues, as requested. What you need to be qualified

Preferred:

Master in Business Management or related field. Three years’ experience in facilities management, state licensing regulations for child care centers, and building maintenance and construction codes. Supervisory Experience preferred.

Accepted:

Bachelor in Management or business related field. Five years’ experience in facilities management, state licensing regulations for child care centers, and building maintenance and construction codes.

Skills, Knowledge and Ability:

Ability to communicate, receive, and transfer written, oral, and electronic information effectively. Ability to develop proposals and construction schedules. Knowledge of building codes and other laws/regulations concerning facilities. Knowledge of Head Start regulations as they impact facilities management. Computer skills including the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to analyze, organize, file and distribute information. Ability to work under stressful conditions with multiple deadlines.

Working Conditions:

Typical office environment. Expected travel in rural areas in and/or out of state as needed, up to 50% of time.

Physical Requirements:

Position requires climbing, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, standing, walking and sitting. Occasionally required to lift or move 30-40 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include:

close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Good physical health and stamina.

Other Requirements:

Operating telephone. Valid driver’s license and a reliable automobile. Maintain insurable driving record and insurance on own vehicle.
