Duties and Responsibilities Specific duties needed for the different locations will be discussed at the interview. Oversee facility operations, including opening and closing, reporting maintenance issues and safety hazards and preparing space for programs
Assists with creating and implementing recreational program activities including elementary aged after school program, preschool craft programs, special programs, and more
Assists in conducting and monitoring recreational program activities, including events, camps, and special programs, in accordance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Assists with rental management, including booking space, opening and closing facility, and ensuring facility readiness Perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties including answering the phone, greeting customers, answering patron questions, registering patrons, collecting fees through city policies and procedures
Positions is considered essential staff and can supervise a facility in the absence of a full-time staff member. May supervise the work of part time employees and volunteers in the
Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department Typical Qualifications Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age to apply and have access to reliable transportation to commute to the facility or facilities served. This position will provide the training and support needed to be successful.
Licensing and Certifications:
CPR/First Aid/AED/EPI certification, or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Other specific certification may be required or preferred depending on position
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a customer service or recreation setting is a plus
Additional Information Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Database, spreadsheet, word processing, and recreation management software
Raleigh financial databases and systems
Providing exceptional customer service
ADA and Other Requirements:
Positions in this class typically require stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Medium Work:
This position requires the ability to move around and be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
